This year we will be participating in an online signup for our athletic teams. In years past this has been known as our Green Form. This year it will be a two step process that must be completed before you can participate.  The registration window is now open.  You will need your student's ID which we will send in an email on 6/21 or 6/22.

2. Turn in your physical to the HIGH SCHOOL athletic office.  

Once you make your team we will then send an invoice via email and you will now have the opportunity to pay it online or via check to the coach.


The registration window is now open.  You will need your student's ID which we sent out in an email with all this information. It is also available on Powerschool Parent Portal on their schedule.  You can also get the number off their actual student ID parent.

Follow these steps:

  1. To find your program, click on the link provided by the Organization above and select the registration form under the word Programs.
  2. Next click on the green Register Now button and scroll, if necessary, to the Create Account/Log In green buttons. If this is your first time using FamilyID, click Create Account. Click Log In, if you already have a FamilyID account.
  3. Create your secure FamilyID account by entering the account owner First and Last names (parent/guardian), E-mail address and password. Select I Agree to the FamilyID Terms of Service. Click Create Account.
  4. You will receive an email with a link to activate your new account. (If you don’t see the email, check your E-mail filters (spam, junk, etc.).
  5. Click on the link in your activation E-mail, which will log you in to
  6. Once in the registration form, complete the information requested. All fields with a red* are required to have an answer.
  7. Click the Continue button when your form is complete.
  8. Review your registration summary. You will choose a payment method and hit submit you will not have to pay at this time.  Do not forget to hit the submit button.
***When you do sign up please choose Junior High for teams for incoming 7th and 8th graders; incoming 9th graders choose Freshman team if available (if not Freshman team choose Varsity); incoming 10th 11th and 12th graders choose the varsity team. 

You will have to click submit on one of the payment methods at the end. You do not have to pay at that time, you will be invoiced when you make a team

Participation Requirements
All students must pass a physical examination within 13 months before participating in any sport. A sport's physical terminates 395 days subsequent to administering and must be renewed immediately to maintain eligibility. (M.I.A.A.)

The new activity fee schedule, effective for the 2017-2018 school year, shall be as follows:

• $250 basic fee per sport per athletic season (three athletic seasons per academic year)
• $250 additional fee per athletic season for each of the following sports: ice hockey, alpine ski, and gymnastics.
The total maximum family cap for Acton-Boxborough students participating in the above activities during the 2017-2018 school year shall be $1000. Only the basic fee counts towards the family cap calculation.  Additional fee does not apply to cap.

This year there will be an opportunity for you to pay online. More to come once the teams are chosen.

Academic Eligibility Rule: Students must be taking and passing four major subjects to be eligible.

Bona Fide Team Rule: If students are participating in two athletic activities in the same season, the school's program must be a priority. Ex: If a student plays Field Hockey for the school team and swims for a private non-school team, the student cannot miss a school game or practice to go to a swim meet or practice instead. When there is no school activity, the student can do as he or she chooses.

All Sports

The interscholastic athletic program is divided into fall, winter, and spring seasons. Within each season we offer a variety of sports programs. As a member of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA), ABRHS abides by the regulations set forth by this organization.

Waiver Of Athletic Fee Form The policy has changed this year to coincide with changes made to the DESE's guidelines around economically disadvantage students. Please see link for some more information.

Interscholastic Athletic Participation Form via FAMILYID

Student athletes are responsible for having this form completed by a Parent/Guardian and the Health Office PRIOR to trying out for any sport. Completed forms should be returned to your coach on the 1st day of tryouts. You will also need to drop off a physical to the school once you have filled out the green form. 

NOTE: Students without a completed registration and physical turned in will NOT be allowed to participate. 

Chemical Health Policies

Use of Private Vehicles for Athletic Transportation
Student athletes should ride the bus with the team to and from games. If there is a special circumstance preventing an athlete from taking the bus, he or she is only allowed to travel with his or her parent / guardian. This form must be completed prior to the event and given to your coach.

If it becomes necessary for members of your team to use private vehicles for transportation to any events, please have their parents/guardians fill out on of the attached forms and return to you. This must be done before they will be allowed to drive/ride in private vehicles. This form must be completed prior to the event and given to your coach.
