The Rev Report - May 29, 2026
Dear ABRHS Community,
All day today, seniors lined the hallways, signing yearbooks and saying goodbye. Then, at the end of the last period, students and staff stood on the sidewalks to cheer for the Class of 2026 as they left the school for the last time. This was our 3rd Annual Senior Clap-out Ceremony! We look forward to celebrating our seniors again at their Graduation Ceremony next Friday, June 5.
There’s even more this weekend! Tonight, our Madrigal Singers are hosting their annual dinner at the Chelmsford Center for the Arts. Boys Volleyball, Boys Lacrosse, Girls Lacrosse, Track and Field, and Girls Tennis are all competing in the next round of playoffs. We also wish our AB Quiz Bowl Team the best of luck at their national tournament in New Jersey this weekend.
Recognitions
Congratulations to our rowers on the BAB (Bromfield Acton-Boxborough) Rowing Team. At the Northeast Regionals recently, three of our boats qualified for Youth Nationals in Sarasota, FL, in June. We also had another team finish fifth out of 14 teams in the 99th Annual Stotesbury Cup.
Congratulations to the AB Science Olympiad Team for their 11th-place finish, out of 60 teams, at the Science Olympiad National Tournament last week at the University of Southern California. Competing with teams from across the country, they placed 6th or better in five science and engineering events. This is particularly impressive, given that there are over 5,000 Science Olympiad high school teams nationally.
Science MCAS Testing for 10th Graders - Tuesday, June 2 & Wednesday, June 3
Current 10th graders will take the Science MCAS exams next Tuesday, June 2 and Wednesday, June 3. The testing session will start at 8:00 am and last for three hours. Room assignments will be emailed to students and posted outside the Counseling Center. Students must bring their student-issued AB Chromebooks. If a student does not finish an exam within the testing window, they will be allowed to continue working as needed up until the end of the school day. Student tutorials, practice tests, and reference sheets can be found on the MCAS website.
After the 10th grade MCAS testing on these mornings, all students in grades 9 and 11 will start school at 11:00 am and follow these late start schedules.
Class of 2026 Information
We are excited to celebrate the Class of 2026 at Graduation on Friday, June 5! Seniors have mandatory Graduation Rehearsals beginning Tuesday, June 2, at 8:30 am on Leary Field. Please refer to the Senior Class Website and Graduation Information Packet for detailed information.
AB Project Graduation for Seniors
For 34 years, AB Project Graduation has hosted a substance-free Grad Night for AB Seniors. Seniors, purchase tickets here. We thank the volunteers, donors, and entire community for working to keep our graduates safe on Graduation Night. We encourage parents of underclassmen to volunteer as a way to ‘pay it forward’ before your child’s graduation year.
Student Parking
Next week, juniors may not park in the Senior Parking Lot, as seniors will be coming to school for Graduation Rehearsals. Beginning on June 8, juniors may park in the Senior Lot. Next school year, juniors must purchase a parking permit to park in this lot.
PowerSchool App for Students
Students can now use the PowerSchool app on their mobile devices. The app is an easy way to view current grades, class schedules, upcoming assignments, attendance, and more.
Summer Reading
Please take a moment to browse our Summer Staff and Young Adult Reading Lists and enjoy a good book this summer!
Yearbooks
Students in grades 9 through 11 who ordered a yearbook can pick up their yearbook in Mrs. Keefe’s office, Room 133E.
High School Coalition to Promote an Inclusive Community - Reminder
We are forming a High School Leadership Coalition to Promote an Inclusive Community. We want to bring students, educators, families, and community members from across our school community together to continue building an inclusive and equitable community and to collaborate in addressing incidents of hate and bias. All are welcome to our first meeting on Monday, June 8 at 5:00 pm, and please RSVP using this form.
Have an enjoyable weekend!
Sincerely,
Ms. Dean, ABRHS Principal
