The Rev Report - May 8, 2026
Dear ABRHS Community,
The high school has begun many end-of-year celebrations already! Yesterday, we held the Senior Art Show Opening Reception, showcasing the exceptional art of the Class of 2026 — stop by Villageworks before May 21 to see it. Today was the last day of classes for about 40 of our seniors who will be going on internships for the next three weeks, and we wish them the best.
Additionally, many students were busy with AP exams, filling the Stearns Gym all week. Next week will be the second and final week of AP Exams. Finally, we celebrated our amazing teachers, staff, and nurses for National Teacher and Nurse Appreciation Week. Thank you to the PTSO for the delicious breakfast on Thursday morning — it brought smiles and laughter as staff dropped by for an assortment of croissants, muffins, and fruit.
Enjoy the weekend, and (hopefully) some warmer weather on Mother's Day!
ABRHS Community-Building 3rd Annual Flex Block - Register by May 12
On Tuesday, May 19, we will be holding a 45-minute Flex Block on the MCAS Late Start Day. The Flex Block will consist of over 50 engaging workshops led by staff, students, and community members. Click here for the Flex Block Catalog and click here to sign up for a workshop.
AP (Advanced Placement) Exams - Monday, May 4 through Friday, May 15
AP (Advanced Placement) Exams began this week and will run through Friday, May 15. Students taking an AP exam are excused from the entire day of school. If students are in school before or after an exam, they must go to their scheduled classes. Students are responsible for homework and tests missed in other classes. Here are additional instructions for students to review: AP Exam Preparation Information. The day before their exam, students will be emailed their test location and seat number.
Project Graduation Message - Caregiver Volunteers Needed
AB Project Graduation 2026 is busy planning an all-inclusive, substance-free celebration for our seniors. Project Graduation needs parents and caregivers of students in all grades to keep this tradition going for the 37th year! Click here to volunteer.
High School Community Garden Project
Recently, students and staff worked together to transform the space outside the Lower West Wing into a community garden. This space will provide produce and herbs, which will be incorporated into cafeteria recipes, creating a sustainable space that supports wellness and community engagement.
AB Girl Up/UNICEF School Supply Collection
AB Girl Up/UNICEF is collecting school supplies for schools in Thailand during May. The club is accepting donations of new or gently used supplies such as pens, pencils, backpacks, art supplies, etc. Please put donations in the box in the front lobby. All students are welcome to join us after school on Tuesdays in 228E.
Outside Gmail on Student Chromebooks Update
Unfortunately, we will not disable outside Gmail accounts for students as we had originally shared with you. We had hoped to do this so students would not be tempted to use their personal Gmail accounts and YouTube during the school day. Yet, because we encourage those taking AP exams to use their personal account (so that they can access their scores, etc., once they graduate), we will leave access to personal Gmail accounts open to students. We continue to encourage students to use their Chromebooks for educational purposes only. Additionally, we know that taking a break from technology helps us stay healthy, happy, and balanced.
