The Rev Report - February 6, 2026

Posted Date: 02/06/26 (07:09 PM)

Dear ABRHS Community,

Congratulations to this week’s Community Service and Vision of a Graduate award winners! During Wednesday’s School Council meeting, students, staff, and I held productive conversations about addressing incidents of hate and bias and continuing to make AB the best it can be. To further these efforts, we will hold school-wide assemblies on February 24 and April 28.

We have a busy week ahead before we head into February Break at the end of the day next Friday. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend—stay warm!

Celebrating Black History Month

February is Black History Month, a time to honor the vast contributions and legacies of Black people. As a community, we embrace this history and enjoy learning about the diverse cultures of Black people in our country and across the globe.

26th Annual Dr. MLK Community Service Awards

On Monday, we celebrated our 26th annual ceremony. Congratulations to the 508 AB students who collectively volunteered over 50,000 hours in 2025! We are equally proud of our student leader speakers who honored Dr. King’s legacy and shared powerful stories about the impact of service. Students who still need to pick up theirawards can find them in the Counseling Center.

Term 2 Report Cards

Yesterday afternoon, Term 2 Report Cards were emailed to students and families. Congratulations to all students and staff for their efforts so far this school year. Students are encouraged to reach out to teachers with any questions and to discuss goals for the second semester.

New Student Lunch, Room 115N, 11:00 am - 11:45 am

For all students new to AB this school year, please join us for a New Student Lunch on Monday in Room 115N during 1st lunch. Check your email for details about ordering a lunch. We are so happy that you are part of the AB community!

Prom Pop-Up at the AB Resource Center

The AB Resource Center is hosting the annual second-hand pop-up shop for Prom! Need a dress, suit, accessory, or pair of shoes for Junior or Senior Prom? Prom Pop-Up is a stylish and sustainable option. The shop is available throughout February at the AB Resource Center, Monday through Thursday, 10 am - 3 pm, and Wednesday until 7 pm (including over break), located at the Admin Building, 15 Charter Rd.

Vision of a Graduate Awards

AB is proud of our districtwide Vision of a Graduate developed last school year. Every quarter, high school staff choose students who exemplify the five Vision of a Graduate values: adaptability, communication, collaboration, intellectual curiosity, and integrity. Congratulations to our Quarter 2 Vision of a Graduate recipients announced at Monday’s assemblies.

Winter and Spring Athletics

As their seasons draw to a close, we want to congratulate all of our Winter athletic teams. We applaud their teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership throughout the season.

Students interested in Spring Athletics may register online with FamilyID until Monday, March 9. The mandatory Spring Preseason Athletic Night Meeting will be on Monday, March 9. Spring Tryouts and Practices will begin Monday, March 16. The tryout schedule will be posted when available on our website

Senior Class Meeting - Scholarship Information

At Monday's Senior Class Meeting, we applauded our seniors for all they have done and will continue to do for AB. Important scholarship information and upcoming class events were also discussed. Please reference the Class Meeting Presentation and the Scholarship Information and Application. The scholarship application deadline is Wednesday, February 25 at 8:00 pm.

Spirit Events Next Week

Next week, we are excited about many spirited events: Singing Valentines by AB Chorus, Photo Booth by Girl Up, Bake Sale by Red Cross Club, Carnation Sale by Student Council, and Blind Date with a Book by the Library

School Calendar

School Committee approved the following District Calendar 2026-2027 for next school year. As a reminder, attendance is crucial for student success and a sense of belonging at school. We ask that families schedule vacations and travel during our scheduled breaks from school.

Ticket Sales for Junior Prom

On March 13, AB will hold our first Junior Prom at the Devens Common Center from 6:30 - 9:30 pm. Tickets will be $55 each that includes optional bus transportation to and from the event. Tickets will be sold during all lunches until next Friday, February 13. Watch your email for additional details and copies of the required permission form to be submitted at the time of ticket sales.

Have an enjoyable weekend!

Sincerely,

Ms. Dean, ABRHS Principal
