The Rev Report - January 30, 2026
Dear ABRHS Community,
It is quite unusual to have two snow days in one week! While it was a short week, students and staff jumped right back into their routines on Wednesday. As always, we have a full slate of athletics and events this weekend. I’d like to give a special shout-out to our Girls Basketball Senior Night tonight at home and the Winter Colorguard’s Regional Competition tomorrow. Go AB!
You may have heard that some students participated in a walkout today in support of the National Shutdown. Around 2:15 pm, approximately 50 students exited their classes and gathered peacefully on the Senior Patio. We appreciate the respectful manner in which the students exercised their rights and conducted themselves.
With the continued cold weather this weekend, please stay warm. We look forward to seeing everyone for a full week of school on Monday!
Muslim Heritage Month
In January, we celebrate Muslim Heritage Month in honor of the rich history, culture, and contributions of Muslim communities around the world. I would also like to acknowledge our Muslim Student Association (MSA) for all they do for our AB community.
Staff Goodbye
Next, I want to let you know that today is the last day for Mx. Vigneault-Taylor, known as Mx. V. For several years, Mx. V has helped AB students and our community through her support in the ASC programs, the library, and the Common Ground Club. We will miss you, Mx. V, and wish you the best!

National School Counselors Week and Upcoming 10th Grade Discussion
Next week (February 2 - 6) is National School Counselors Week, and we want to thank the amazing counselors, adjustment counselors, psychologists, and our entire counseling staff here at AB! Over the next several weeks, counselors will be visiting 10th Grade English classes to discuss depression and anxiety with students. They will discuss strategies for addressing depression and anxiety, including the warning signs, how to help a friend, and the resources available. Here are a variety of Community Resources.

Support the Senior Class of 2026 with Fundraising
Eat out on Monday evenings in February at Not Your Average Joe's in Acton. Share this flyer, and the restaurant will generously donate 15% to the senior class. Additionally, plan to attend the Seniors vs Staff Basketball game on Friday, March 6 in the Regan Gym. Tickets will go on sale soon.
School Calendar - This Year and Next Year
Now with two snow days in the books, our current last day of school will be Tuesday, June 23. Additionally, the School Committee approved the following District Calendar 2026-2027 for next school year. As a reminder, attendance is crucial for student success and a sense of belonging at school. We ask that families schedule vacations and travel during our scheduled breaks from school.
SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment) for 9th Graders
This semester, 9th Grade Fitness for Living classes will learn about substance use, abuse, and prevention. During the week of February 10, 9th grade students will complete the SBIRT screening tool administered by counselors and nurses. Please reference this SBIRT email for more information.
Cold and Flu Season Advisory
With cold and flu season upon us, please remember that students should stay home if they have a fever of 100.0°F or higher. Students may return to school after they have been fever-free for at least 24 hours, without the use of fever-reducing medications (such as Tylenol, Motrin, or Advil). Please contact the Health Office with any questions. Thank you for helping keep our community healthy!
Have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Ms. Dean, ABRHS Principal
