Dear ABRHS Community,

Today, we were excited to honor 18 students with the Quarter 1 Vision of the Graduate Award. Recipients were recognized in the key areas of Adaptability, Collaboration, Communication, Intellectual Curiosity, and Integrity. Congratulations to our winners—your efforts make AB a better place!

Additionally, we extend congratulations to Coach Billy Waters for being named the DCL (Dual County League) Small League Football Coach of the Year! We are eagerly anticipating our Thanksgiving Day football game against Westford next week. Thank you to the Acton-Boxborough Rotary Club for hosting the annual AB-Westford Football and Cheer Lunch on Wednesday. We are grateful for their support and for modeling the importance of friendship, community, and service to others.

Grade Level Assemblies and Senior Dress Up Day - Wednesday, November 26

During Senior Dress Up Day, there will be a Seniors vs. Juniors competition when the juniors join the celebration in the Regan Gym! 9th and 10th Graders will have grade-level assemblies in the Stearns Gym as well. Here is the Bell Schedule for the day. All students should check their email to get information about signing up for assembly games. Seniors, here is Senior Dress Up Day Information. We encourage all seniors to wear their new senior t-shirts on Tuesday next week! 


31st Annual Cabaret, November 21 and 22 at 7:00 pm

Don’t miss the ABRHS Choruses present their 31st Annual Cabaret Night! Enjoy musical performances of all styles, including Broadway, contemporary, a cappella, dance, and instrumental. Shows are on Friday, November 21, and Saturday, November 22, at 7:00 pm in the Auditorium. All tickets are $12 and can be purchased online here or at the door. 


Science Family Night, Friday, November 21, ABRHS Cafeteria, 6:30-8:30 pm

ABRHS students from Science Team, DNA Club, Envirothon, and our other STEM clubs will offer fun, hands-on activities in science, engineering, computer science, and other topics to AB children and their families. All elementary children are welcome!


Winter Athletics Preseason Meeting - Date and Time to be announced

We are moving our Winter Preseason Athletic Meeting, originally scheduled for next Tuesday, to a later date. Stay tuned for updated information. 


School IDs

We ask that students have their student ID with them upon entering the school. This helps us identify students, know who is in our larger building, and assists in getting everyone checked in quickly and accurately


Consistent Attendance and Credit Loss Letters 

Consistent attendance is fundamental for success in high school. Our attendance policy is designed to support students attending school regularly. This week and next, students who exceeded the maximum allowed absences for the first quarter of the year will receive a Credit Loss Notification email listing the courses affected. We will work with all students to support them in their engagement in learning. Students may contact their counselor or assistant principal with any questions.


Early Release Lunch - Wednesday, November 26

We will offer lunches on the Early Release Wednesday, November 26 (Early Release Day). The meal is free, and all you need to do is enter your lunch order here on or before November 26 at 8:00 am. Lunch should be picked up in the Cafeteria between 10:00 and 11:30 am.


Student Council Activities Fund - Accepting Applications

Clubs can apply to the Student Council for grants to cover capital, operational, and program expenses, including public and private events, by 3:00 pm on December 12. Student Council will consider the types of expenses, organization size, and impact when making funding decisions. There will be a second grant cycle this Spring.


Junior Class of 2027 Updates & Post-Secondary Planning Night, Wednesday, December 3, 6:00 pm

Please read the Post-Secondary Planning and Information for the Class of 2027All 11th grade parents and caregivers of 11th grade students are invited to the Post-Secondary Planning Night hosted by the Counseling Department on Wednesday, December 3 at 6:00 pm. Counselors will discuss the college search and application process as well as other post-high school opportunities.


AB Forward and Reorganization

As you may know, the District is exploring a reorganization to optimize our financial resources while maintaining an excellent educational program for every student. Here is the latest AB Forward Update, and I also encourage you to visit the AB Forward Website for more information. 


Class of 2028 Toy Drive

The 10th Grade Class is organizing the annual Toys for Tots Drive. Donate to kids in need this holiday season by dropping off unwrapped, unopened toys by December 12. Boxes are in the Main Lobby and Counseling Center. 


Proscenium Circus presents Chicago - December 11- December 13

Come and enjoy Chicago, produced by Proscenium Circus, our Theater Program. Tickets for December 11 - December 13 shows are now available at www.abdrama.orgStudent Night ($5 student tickets) will be on Thursday, December 11.
