The Rev Report - February 27, 2026
Dear ABRHS Community,
It was great to see everyone back at school on Wednesday after the February Break and the two additional snow days. We packed a lot into the short week and, in particular, I’d like to highlight our Interrupting Hate and Bias grade-level assemblies on Thursday.
Our community engaged in thoughtful conversations and learning about the history and impact of the Nazi swastika. We affirmed our community values of respect for all with no tolerance for acts of hate and bias, including antisemitism and the Nazi swastika. I was impressed with student engagement and their support for those who are often marginalized. It is through these important conversations that we continue to build a safer, more inclusive school for everyone.
Enjoy the weekend, and we look forward to a full week of school next week.
State Championship - Fencing Co-op Team
It is very exciting that our newly formed Concord-Carlisle/Acton-Boxborough Fencing Boys Team won a State Championship over Break. Congratulations!
39 Steps - A Proscenium Circus Festival Play
Our Theatre Program will perform the play, 39 Steps, at the Massachusetts Educational Theatre Guild Festival this weekend. The last school performance will be on Thursday, March 5, at 7:00 pm in the Auditorium. Tickets are available here.
Youth in Philanthropy Grants
The members of the Youth in Philanthropy (YIP) Club worked over the past few months to learn about local needs, understand nonprofit organizations, and raise funds to help the AB community. This week, club members were proud to give grants to Household Goods for the Fund a Bed program, Doli Atamian to help children attend summer camp or activities, and English at Large to support creating a resource library.
Course Selection for 2026-27
Students in grades 9, 10, and 11 will select courses for next school year from March 11 through March 23. As students think about next year, we encourage them to explore their interests and ensure balance in their overall schedules. Conversations with teachers, counselors, and families can be especially helpful.
The 2026-27 Program of Studies contains descriptions of all available courses, graduation requirements, and other important information. Additionally, we have many new courses to consider, including our new 9th through 12th grade offerings of Robotics classes.
The Spectrum - AB School Newspaper
The Spectrum is pleased to share the winter issue of the school newspaper, now available online at this link.
World Cultures Week - March 2 through March 6
A wonderful AB tradition is our World Cultures Week Celebration. Students, staff, and community members are invited to share in this event this week, March 2 through March 6. We are looking forward to workshops in dance, cooking, art, and music from around the world.

Conversation with a Counselor: Athletic Recruiting - Tuesday, March 10
The Counseling Department is excited to invite parents and caregivers to a discussion with school counselors, our athletic director, and coaches on Tuesday, March 10 at noon. The program will include information on the college search through the lens of athletic recruiting for student-athletes who wish to continue playing at the varsity level in college. Opportunities to play on non-varsity club and intramural teams will also be discussed.
Youth Risk Behavior Survey, March 24
The Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) from Emerson Health is a key part of our efforts to help students lead safe and healthy lives. For over 20 years, the YRBS has been a valuable tool. It helps schools understand the health risks students face and informs how we teach our health curriculum to reduce those risks. We will be administering this survey on Tuesday, March 24. Please read the District Communication about YRBS.
