The Rev Report - December 23, 2025
Dear ABRHS Community,
Even with such a short week, we packed in the spirit here at AB yesterday and today. Students wore pajamas yesterday and winter-wonderland themed clothing today. We had an impromptu band performance in the lobby this morning, and our Madrigals sang holiday songs throughout the day.
As we head into 2025, and after the Find the Snowflake and Cards for Care contests, the AP Team Standings are: Team Hagopian and Team Mullin tied for third place; Team Vanasse in second; and Team Baker in the lead. Thank you to everyone for your efforts in making AB the best community possible. Have a happy holiday season, and we look forward to seeing everyone back after break on Monday, January 5, 2026!
Upcoming Holidays
For those celebrating Christmas, Merry Christmas! Happy Kwanzaa, as well, to those celebrating this holiday, December 26 through January 1. Finally, Happy New Year to all – we are looking forward to a great 2026!
Electronic and Phone Breaks During Break
Students started using phone cubbies at the beginning of this school year, and they report being less distracted and enjoying more in-person conversations. Over this break, I encourage all students to disconnect from phones and electronics for a few hours a day. Take a walk, talk to a friend or family member in person, or play a non-electronic game. Let’s make 2026 the year of human connections!
School Access during December Break
Today, after school ends at 11:22 am, we will be on December Break until Monday, January 5. I want to remind students that only those with activities or events supervised by an adult are allowed in the school building during this break. This is for everyone’s safety to ensure that we know who is in the building and that everyone is under appropriate supervision. Thank you for your cooperation.
Virtual Panel of Recent AB Graduates - Tuesday, January 13
Our Counseling Department will host a Virtual AB Graduates Panel on Tuesday, January 13 at 6:00 pm. Graduates will discuss their college application experience and the transition from AB to college. It is always wonderful to hear from AB alumni about their experiences here and the world beyond AB. A link will be provided after the December Break.
Science Fair Judges
We are looking for judges for our 5th Annual Science Fair on January 16 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Those with backgrounds in all areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics are welcome. Please complete this brief form and contact Brian Dempsey (bdempsey@abschools.org), Science Teacher, with questions.
Yearbook Orders for 9th, 10th, and 11th Graders
It is time to purchase the 2025-2026 ABRHS Yearbook for 9th - 11th graders. The yearbook will include portraits, events, and activities for students in all grades. Families of 9th - 11th graders may purchase a yearbook using this link (please use Order #4006). Every senior has already purchased a yearbook through their senior dues, so there is no need to fill out this form for your senior.
Have an enjoyable December Break and see you in 2026!
Sincerely,
Ms. Dean, ABRHS Principal
