Course Registration 2026-27

Welcome to the Course Registration page for 2026-27! Here you will find documents and instructions to help you make decisions on your course selection for the next school year. On March 11, the PowerSchool portal will open, and students will have until March 23 to select their courses. Students are encouraged to reach out to their counselor for support with any aspect of the course registration process. Additional information is included in the documents linked below.

  • An outline of our Scheduling Timeline:

    Early March - Teachers complete and review course recommendations with students.     

    March 10 - Email will be sent to families with information about registration

    March 11 @ 8:00 AM to March 23 @ 6:00 PM - PowerSchool Portal is open for grade 8-11 course selections. During this window, all students and families must log into the portal in order to view recommended courses and choose electives. 

    March 11 to March 23- If you choose to request to override a recommended course, please complete an Override Acknowledgement Form by March 23rd. The form link will be active from March 11th - March 23rd. The override form will request that you provide the course number for both the recommended and desired courses.  Course numbers may be found in the Student Course Reference (SCR) List

    May 29 - Students will be sent a list of of their course selections for review

    June 1 - Last day for all course changes

    Aug 14 - Course schedules will be available to view on the PowerSchool Portal

    Aug 31 - First day of school

  • The PowerSchool portal will open from March 11 to March 23 for the 2026-27 school year course selection. These instructions will help you navigate the course selection process in the PowerSchool Portal. Course selection is not first-come, first-served.  Students are invited to enter their course requests at any time during the assigned window.

  • The Program of Studies is the primary resource for students to plan their high school course of study. Students can find graduation requirements, individual school department goals, and descriptions of all course offerings in the Program of Studies.

  • Our Student Course Reference (SCR) is a quick reference sheet that lists all our course names, numbers and credits.

  • Welcome Class of 2030! Our Transition to 9th Grade website has lots of useful information to help you prepare for your first year at ABRHS.

  • A list of all our electives for incoming 9th grade students

  • A list of all our electives available to 10th to 12th grade students

  • Students who wish to override a recommended course will have access to an electronic Override Acknowledgement Form here and on the [Transition to 9th Grade website ]from March 11th to March 23rd.  Students and parents/caregivers should complete this form and submit it by 6:00 pm on March 23rd.  Parents/caregivers will receive an email notification from the high school by April 1st regarding the override request.  Some requests may involve a conversation with the department leader.

    Please contact your Counselor to make a non-override change.
