Revolution Rules & Policies

Student-athletes must be taking and passing at least four (4) major subjects (equivalent to a year-long course in credit value) to be eligible to participate in educational, interscholastic athletics. Per the MIAA, the ABRSD reserves the right to enforce a stricter academic eligibility standard, but cannot allow a lesser standard.
-
If students are participating in two athletic activities in the same season, the school's program must be a priority. Ex: If a student plays field hockey for the school team and swims for a private non-school team, the student cannot miss a school game or practice to go to a swim meet or practice instead. When there is no school activity, the student can do as he or she chooses. Any student-athlete who believes they may have a conflict should speak to the Athletic Director (Mr. Scanlon - jscanlon@abschools.org) for more information and to avoid any violations and/or subsequent penalties.

Student-athletes should ride the bus with their team to and from games. If there is a special circumstance preventing a student-athlete from taking the bus, they are only allowed to travel with their parent / guardian. The Private Transportation Form should be completed at least 24 hours PRIOR to the event, signed by the Athletic Office, and given to the student-athlete's coach.
If it becomes necessary for members of a team to use private vehicles for transportation to any events, please have their parents/guardians fill out one of the attached forms and return to you. This must be done before they will be allowed to drive/ride in private vehicles. This form must be completed prior to the event and given to your coach.
