AB Athletics - Fall 2025 Signing Day & Winter Sports Registration - NOW OPEN!!

October 24, 2025 ABRSD Athletic Community, The Fall season is rapidly approaching its end! At the time of this post, many of our Fall teams are positioned to make postseason MIAA tournament runs, with each team ranked statewide in Division I as follows: Field Hockey - 11th Football - 22nd Boys Soccer - 52nd Girls Soccer - 21st Volleyball - 21st In addition, our Girls Swim and Dive program has completed their regular season (*they do not receive a power ranking), and their Head Coach and AB Alumna Gretchen Turner has received the MIAA Girls Swim and Dive Coach of the Year Award! Cheer will look to repeat their title in the Game Day division at the upcoming Dual County League tournament, to qualify for the MSAA State Game Day Cheer Tournament. Golf finished their season at Quail Ridge last week (*they do not receive a power ranking) with Class of 2026 Seniors Connor Lent and Jason Ahn advancing to the MIAA Individual State Sectional Tournament, where Connor shot a +5 for a score of 77 and Jason shot a -2 for a score of 70 on the day, taking 2nd place in Division I and advancing to the MIAA Division I State Championship, where he represented AB with pride and skill! Cross Country also competed in numerous league and invitational meets, including an incredible Senior Day competition at NARA Park, and the Dual County League Championship Meet today at Franklin Park. Finally, we welcome ALL members of our AB Athletic Community to join us at ABRHS in the Regan (upper) Gym next Thu. 10/30/25 - at 4:15pm for our final home Unified Basketball game of the season vs. Newton South, and Senior Day for our team!! More information will be coming out over the next week and a half with tournament brackets, opponents, dates and times - please stay tuned. National Signing Day 2025 On Wednesday, November 12th, AB Athletics will be holding its first annual National Signing Day ceremony of the year in the ABRHS Auditorium, beginning at roughly 3pm. ANY student-athlete who is committing to play a sport at the collegiate level next year (NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA) and WANTS to be recognized at the National Signing Day ceremony (including "signing" opportunities on stage) on Wed. 11/12 MUST complete the following Google Form before Fri. 11/7. If a student does NOT want to be recognized publicly, but is still committing to play at the next level, please let us know by filling out this form and selecting "NO" on the last question. Parents/Guardians, family members, coaches, teammates, friends, etc. are all invited to attend the ceremonial National Signing Day event on Wed. 11/12/25 beginning at 3pm in the ABRHS Auditorium. SIGN UP FOR NATIONAL SIGNING DAY HERE! Winter 2025-2026 Athletic Registration - NOW OPEN!! Sign ups for Winter 2025-2026 Sports are NOW OPEN on FamilyID, and will CLOSE on Sunday, November 16th. Any prospective or returning student-athlete should log into Arbiter/FamilyID as soon as possible to sign up for one of the following Winter Sports: Basketball (boys or girls) Indoor Track (boys or girls) Swim & Dive (boys) Wrestling (*co-op hosted by Bedford High School) Gymnastics (co-ed) Ice Hockey (boys or girls) Alpine (downhill) Ski (boys or girls) Nordic (cross country) Ski (boys or girls) Cheerleading (co-ed) SIGN UP FOR A WINTER SPORT HERE! All prospective and returning student-athletes and at least one parent/caregiver should plan for a mandatory Winter Sports Informational Open House at ABRHS on Tuesday, November 25th from 7:00-8:00pm to receive important information regarding the upcoming Winter season and meet the coaches of the teams to hear about their coaching philosophies, team expectations, and ask any questions. More information will be forthcoming about this requirement. Tryout information, including dates, times, and locations, will be added next week to the ABRHS Athletics website HERE (https://abrhs.abschools.org/athletics), where you will also find a coaching directory and contact information (*not all coaching directory information is updated, as the school district migrated to a new website, and some information still needs to be transferred over). As a reminder, all Winter 2025-2026 sports will cost $350 per student, per sport (*with a $250 surcharge for Ice Hockey and Alpine Ski), which can be paid by cash, check, or online. There is a family cap of $1200 (*Ice Hockey and Alpine Ski surcharges do not apply to the family cap) per academic year. Financial assistance is available through the school district, and more information, as well as an application for fee waiver consideration, can be found HERE. Sport-specific booster clubs, such as Nordic Ski, may also provide financial support for ancillary fees - please contact the coach or booster club representatives if you are interested in learning more. Please note that while athletic participation fees are a necessary part of our operational model, no student will be denied an opportunity to participate due to an inability to pay a fee.
