Jonnie Dean Joanie Dean - Principal

Joanie Dean received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, a Master of Arts in Secondary Mathematics Education from Teachers College at Columbia University in New York, and a Master of Education in Leadership for Educational Change from Bank Street College of Education in New York. Joanie began her career teaching math and chemistry as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Cameroon, Africa for two years. Then, as a Peace Corps Fellow Scholar at Teachers College, she taught mathematics at Boys and Girls High School in Brooklyn for two years. Prior to coming to AB, she worked at Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School in New York City for 21 years. There, she was the Head of the Upper School (Principal) for three years, the Assistant Director (Assistant Principal) for two years, the Dean of Academics for eight years, and the Head of the Math Department for 16 years. 





 

Tina Vanasse - Director of Administration and Planning


Tina Vanasse received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Harvard, a Masters of Education degree in Education Administration, Planning, and Social Policy from Harvard Graduate School of Education, and a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from Fitchburg State College. Ms. Vanasse taught at Miss Porter’s School in Connecticut and Bridge Over Troubled Waters in Boston before serving as the Assistant Director of Lowell Middlesex Academy Charter School in Lowell. A long-time resident of Acton and graduate of Chelmsford High School, Ms Vanasse has been working at Acton-Boxborough Regional High School since 2012.  As Director of Administration and Planning, Ms Vanasse works closely with the school leadership team on the school’s strategic plan and school-wide projects.


Beth Baker

Beth Baker - Associate Principal


Beth Baker received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts  and her Master of Arts degree from the University of California at Berkeley. She began her career teaching English and reading at Jefferson High School in Northern California.  In addition during the summers, she has worked for The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, The University of California Berkeley, Lawrence Hall of Science, and Stanford University. She has worked at Acton-Boxborough Regional High School for the past eight years - as an English teacher, Academic  Support Center Coordinator, Alternative Programs Coordinator, and now Associate Principal.


As the Associate Principal, she works in close concert with Dean, Fred Hohn and counselors Jennifer Gabel, Todd Chicko, Stephen Hitzrot, Shannon Dandridge, Sara Clinton and Jennifer Hagopian to support students at the high school. As a team Ms. Baker, Mr. Hohn, and the counselors meet regularly to discuss how to best support the students they work with. They work in concert as student needs arise -- providing a network for students in need of assistance. Additionally, Ms. Baker works closely to support the students and teachers in the schools alternative programs - MAP, and SWAP.  She is the administrative liaison to Social Studies, Emerging Bilingual, Performing Arts, and Special Education.






Maurin O’Grady -  Associate Principal

Maurin O'Grady received her Bachelor's Degree in English Literature from Emmanuel College and her Master's Degree in Teaching from Simmons College.  After teaching high school English and Journalism, she earned her administrative license through the Commonwealth Leadership Academy in 2012. Prior to her work at ABRHS, Maurin was an English teacher at Melrose High School and Watertown High School. In addition to teaching, her extracurricular experience includes serving as newspaper and yearbook advisor, basketball and softball coach, class advisor, and others.

As Associate Principal, Maurin partners with the Dean of Students, Michael Csorba, and continues working with counselors and faculty to best support all students at ABRHS.  She partners with counselors Todd Chicko, Jodi Chu, Jennifer Gabel, Jennifer Harris, and Ashli Garbett to support students. She is the Administrative liaison to the World Language, Counseling, Athletics, Math Departments and Business Operations Manager.  In addition to remaining a resource for students, she is looking forward to using her previous experience and knowledge gained from working as Dean of Students and contributing more directly to school-wide and district conversations and initiatives.





Michael Csorba - Assistant Principal


Michael Csorba has his B.A. from Fairfield University, his M.A.T. from Boston College, and his M.Ed from Endicott College.  Previously, he was an English teacher at Acton-Boxborough Regional High School and Cathedral High School in Boston, MA.  Mr. Csorba has been a part of the Acton-Boxborough community for the last ten years and served on various committees and groups including the Attendance Review Board, School Council, ABEA Executive Board, ABEA Negotiations Committee, and Class Advisor.  Mr. Csorba is thrilled to continue serving the Acton-Boxborough community in his role as Assistant Principal.


As Assistant Principal at ABRHS, Mr. Csorba partners counselors Marisa Anderson, Sara Clinton, Shannon Dandridge, and Lindsay Rosenman to support students. Mr. Csorba works with extra-curricular organizations and activity planning.


Chris Campo

Christopher Ocampo - Assistant Principal


Chris Ocampo received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Bridgewater State University. Chris also holds a Masters of Special Education Moderate Disabilities from American International College, as well as a Masters in Organizational Leadership from Endicott College. Prior to joining Acton Boxborough Regional High School, Chris served in a number of roles in his ten years at Framingham High School. He joined FHS as a Paraprofessional, eventually entering into roles of Special Education/English Teacher and Extended School Year Coordinator. Chris was also the Class of 2020 Advisor and Ultimate Coach at FHS. After his time at Framingham High School, Chris served as Assistant Principal at Hopkinton Middle School for two years. 


As Assistant Principal at ABRHS, Mr. Ocampo partners with counselors Jodi Chu, Jen Hagopian, Todd Chicko, Hannah Rubio to support students. Mr. Ocampo works with extra-curricular organizations and activity planning.
